Matilda’s story starts as every cat’s dream: five years as the only feline in the house, showered with constant love, pets, and attention. She thrived as the center of her family’s universe—and to this day, nothing makes her happier than snuggling up close for endless cuddles.

But Matilda is no ordinary lap cat. This girl has a daring, adventurous spirit! One day, with a little too much time (and confidence) on her paws, she decided to test her parkour skills by leaping from her balcony window. Spoiler: cats aren’t superheroes. A minor injury didn’t deter her—in fact, the adrenaline had her ready for round two. Unfortunately, the second attempt landed her in the vet hospital needing hip surgery.

Her boundless energy and daredevil tendencies became a bit too much for her previous owner to manage safely at home. Rather than curb Matilda’s spirit, her loving family searched for a place where she could express all sides of her personality freely. That’s when they discovered Paws For A Moment. We welcomed this local girl with open arms, thrilled to give her plenty of safe spaces to zoom, jump, and play—plus endless cuddles when she’s ready to wind down.

Matilda is the perfect mix of affectionate sweetheart and playful mischief-maker. We’re so grateful her family trusted us to give their adventurous girl the room (and the love) she needs to thrive—right here in her hometown.
